About Us

Powersports is a full service F&I outsource company serving New York, Pennsylvania and New England. All our dealers enjoy the benefits and profits of having a full-time F&I department without incurring the expenses or hassles. Powersports specializes in recreation loans that span from cruiser boats to cruiser bikes to cruising in a motor home and everything that’s fun to ride in between.

In 1997, Robert Pogorzelski founded MPG F&I Consulting. The focus of MPG was to provide finance and insurance service to dealers in the power sports industry who did not have the time, expertise or budget to employ a full-time F&I manager. Robert’s background and experience as a Sales Manager for a large RV and Marine power sports dealership gave him the knowledge to get started. Today, Robert’s primary responsibilities focus on constant improvement of internal F&I systems and service enhancements. Additionally, software design and implementations are an ongoing endeavor.

In September of 1998, Scott Fyvie joined forces with Robert and formed Powersports Loan Brokerage. Scott had a retail management background and seven years experience as a top producer in the automotive field. His B.S. in Business and Finance from Siena College helped in laying the groundwork for many of the systems used today. Scott’s primary focus is administrative operations and staff management. He also works closely with dealers and lenders, performing business analysis to develop programs that meet the needs of our clients.

Mark Taylor, with considerable experience in business start-ups and management, joined Powersports as a partner in 1998 as well. Mark has held several management positions including General Manager, Sales Manager, F&I Manager, and Marketing Director with various auto, marine, RV and real estate firms. Mark also brought to the table formal training in F&I management via Ford Motor Company and General Motors. Mark heads up the marketing team and business development for the company. His primary responsibilities are opening new territories and the acquisitions of new lending sources. Continuous efforts are made in client services, dealer training programs, and internal system enhancements.

In 2000, Powersports Loan Brokerage was incorporated and the name was changed to Powersports Outsourcing Group, LLC. Robert, Scott and Mark continue as the principals and management team of Powersports.

Since inception, our dealer base has grown to over 160 dealers. We have also recruited 17 highly qualified individuals to support our finance, marketing and administrative needs. In 2002, Powersports has projected to place over 8,000 consumer loans for our dealers.

“F&I is a great profit center, it is very convenient for the customer and most importantly it helps the dealer keep control over the sale. It is very important to be able to keep that control. If a customer chooses to finance on their own, the dealer is at the customer’s mercy. The dealer does not know if the customer has good credit, is going to be approved or that they aren’t looking for a better deal somewhere else. As soon as a customer wants to buy a unit the dealership pulls credit bureau reports immediately and they know more or less if it is going to be delivered or not.”
